Who We Are

scan0075Pastor Jacob and Jessica Boger

After a radical salvation experience Jacob Boger began his life in ministry by serving in the local church. The salvation he received was so real and meant so much to Jacob that he just wanted to be around the church. Two weeks after receiving Jesus he started mowing grass and serving in whatever capacity he could from there.

Children’s ministry was next and what a joy that was. Working with the children was an awesome experience for Jacob. It was there that he first started preparing short messages and having a desire to bless the children and all people with the Word of God.

It was as a 25 year old college freshman that God started talking to Jacob about the ministry. The tug was strong and the evidence was revealing itself to him and all who knew him. In 2002 his local church started a two year Bible School. Jacob attended this while at the same time defeating cancer. (Click Here for Testimony)

Almost immediately Jacob started street ministry and raising food and funds to feed the hungry. Within a short period of time he started volunteering with a local juvenile detention center only to become the chaplain of that facility. He was the volunteer chaplain for over 8 years while seeing hundreds of young people come to know the Lord.

Jessica Boger

Jessica was born into the ministry. Her dad was pastoring his second church in a small town in Southern Indiana when she was born. Growing up she saw her parents live by faith and saw what thrill a life dedicated to the Lord truly is. Jessica traveled with her dad domestically and on international mission trips all through her early years.

Worship. Her heart was always worship and she began early on developing that gift. She sang in the church choir, in the school choir and eventually at Texas Bible Institute. While at the Bible School she also was a part of a worship group called J28 that would travel to churches in the Texas area.

After completing her first year of Bible School in Texas she felt like she needed to come home and work for her dad in ministry. Around one year after coming home she met a visitor at church that would one day become her husband in 2003. Another big event in 2003 was she became the Worship Leader at the church and has since been leading worship in the local church, conferences and in 2014 released her first worship album (iTunes link)

Today Jessica is a crucial part of the day to day operations at Generation Church. She is also the proud mommy to three little boys.

Although Jacob and Jessica have traveled on mission trips several countries in South and Central America, Mexico, Siberia and Cuba to preach the Gospel the local church has always been a priority. After two years of praying about the future God say it’s time to start a church. In November of 2014 Generation Church (GC) opened its doors. We are excited about all God is showing us and doing through us. We yell from the mountaintops to the Last, the Lost and the Least GC is coming for You. Their is a God who loves you and a Savior that died for you. The power of the Holy Spirit will empower you to walk in newness of life. Eternal Life!
